New opportunities

Wow, thats really all I can say. Wow. There are some exciting things that were brought to our attention tonight and as much as I would love to share it all with you, i can't. (And trust me I REALLY REALLY want to). But I do want you to do something for us, please pray! Pray for the future, for God to open doors, that we make the best decisions possible and that we are willing with open hearts and minds to follow where God leads us! And I PROMISE that as we get more information and more questions answered I will fill you in!! For now, just pray!!!!

I can certainly do that....

I also just wanted to chime in on the adoption of a foster child...I know it was the post prior but just I'm just now getting a sec to reply..

My son was my first foster placement..I literally got the call one day after I got my license in the mail...

At the time I was the only foster parent with any medical background so it was me or nothing...

I knew when I went to get him that his life expectancy was quite guarded...He was very ill and still remains so but, taking that baby was the most important decision I have EVER made in my life..

He would later become my son nearly 4 years later...No regrets and no looking back!

Has it been hard? You betcha! Is it still hard? YES! Do I regret one single second? NO NO NO....

And to just ditto what you were saying....You can NOT go wrong helping one of the MILLIONS in foster care...

It's free for the adoption...They do come with a medical card and "most" thigns are covered...I will say in our case we have TONS that was uncovered by his medical card and STILL remains so and over the years the list has gotten even longer...Just a heads up for folks who might be thinking about adopting a special needs kiddo...

I honestly think it depends on what state you live in as per the guidelines but based on my special needs groups MANY are going through the same issues as far as things not being covered...

In my sons case these are not items that are "Could do without" These are life sustaining "WILL die without" items...

Still I have NO REGRETS and would NOT trade him for anything and would also do whatever it takes to get him what he needs....IT's hard most days but so worth it...

Thats us in a very condensed nutshell ;)

Take care
